What do you need a blood test for on accutane? - General acne. I am not on accutane but for the people taking it, what do you usually need to get a blood test for and how often? What do they measure to see if it's okay? What I mean is I generally know that they do one test before the prescribe it to see if you are okay to take it, and then one every x amount of months.
